The Last Kids on Earth: Hit the Deck! startet Full Release

“We want The Last Kids on Earth: Hit the Deck! to appeal to two audiences: those familiar with the source material, and those without any prior knowledge of it,” said Andy Cargile, Head of Game-Based Learning. “For fans of The Last Kids on Earth TV series and books, Hit the Deck! will offer more time with its infectious, quirky characters. And those unfamiliar with it will still find an in-depth roguelite with deck-building mechanics. And who knows, they may find themselves fans of the franchise by the end!”

“With the full launch of The Last Kids on Earth: Hit the Deck! fans will have even more amazing ways to interact with the incredible world and characters contained in one of the most successful kids book series right now,” said Richard Goldsmith, President of Global Distribution and Consumer Products, Atomic Cartoons/Thunderbird Entertainment. “And it’s such a great interpretation, that we’re hoping to make fans of the players new to the property. We just love how SMART has translated The Last Kids to this interactive format.”

“Following the successful release of the existing console/PC game about a year ago, we are thrilled to see this new application coming out. It will enable all the fans of The Last Kids on Earth to enjoy an exciting new gaming experience,” added Dominique Bourse Chairman and CEO of Cyber Group Studios and Thierry Braille, Vice President, Interactive and Video Game Division.

Das sagt der Entwickler:

“We were honored to work on the The Last Kids on Earth franchise, as we think its great writing, whimsical humor, and mischievous cast is immediately infectious, but we wanted to ensure that those unfamiliar with the series could get into game,” said Andy Cargile, Director of Game-Based Learning. “That’s why The Last Kids on Earth: Hit the Deck! features deep deck-building mechanics and combat, ensuring that fans of the genre will be enthralled by the adventure. Start in den Early Access

SMART Technologies hat The Last Kids on Earth: Hit the Deck! auf dem PC via Steam veröffentlicht.

“The Last Kids on Earth is a fantastic series for kids and adults alike, so we wanted to capture this feeling of playful mischief amidst the Monster Zombie Apocalypse,” said Andy Cargile, Director of Game-Based Learning. “The Last Kids on Earth: Hit the Deck! works as an intro to roguelike strategy games, but it’s also deep enough that deck builder and card battler enthusiasts will get a kick out of its unique mechanics. We look forward to hearing player feedback as we expand upon The Last Kids on Earth: Hit the Deck! ahead of its full launch early next year.”

“The Last Kids on Earth resonates with fans of the books in interactive formats that currently include a console game and a fully interactive TV special,” said Richard Goldsmith, President of Global Distribution and Consumer Products, Atomic Cartoons/Thunderbird Entertainment. “We’re always looking for new opportunities to expand the brand and we love how SMART has translated Last Kids’ engaging characters and stories to the card battler format, and we believe that kids and families will, too.”
