Der Entwickler Megapop und der Publisher Kasedo Games haben mit Life Below ein ungewöhnliches Aufbaustrategiespiel angekündigt. Gespielt wird nämlich im Ozean und dort ist es unserer Aufgabe, Korallenriffe zu bauen, damit der Ozean nicht stirbt und die Vielfalt ins Meer zurückkommt. Mit dem Aufbau des Riffs ist es aber nicht getan. Mit unterschiedlichen Ködern können wir auch Tiere wieder in unser Habitat einladen. Über vierzig davon werden im Spiel enthalten sein. Dazu gesellen sich Muscheln und etliche Pflanzen.
Geboten werden sowohl eine Story-Kampagne und ein Sandbox-Spielmodus. Damit uns nicht langweilig wird, werden wir vor unterschiedliche Herausforderungen gestellt. So gibt es verschiedene Meeresböden (Temperatur, Säure) und auch Plagen wie Algenbefall, Öl- oder Müllverschmutzung. Life Below soll irgendwann in 2026 auf dem PC via Steam erscheinen und kann bereits auf eure Wunschliste gepackt werden.

Lise Hagen Lie, Game Director said, “We are hoping all players can have fun playing Life Below, in a chill but also strategic setting where you can get quickly into the world but need to think and use every aspect in the reef to reach the goal – a stable reef.
“We want this game to be about hope, about what can be, and about how we’re all connected, not doom and gloom. In the real world, life below water is struggling, and a key part of solving that will be for more people to know, care and appreciate problems facing the environment. So while I hope players will find the game a fun and interesting strategic challenge, I also hope that they feel hopeful for the future of life underwater.
