Die Handlung von Simon the Sorcerer Origins spielt im April 1993, wenige Wochen vor den Ereignissen des ursprünglichen Spiels. Die Smallthing Studios wurden bei der Entwicklung der Handlung von Simon Woodroffe unterstützt.

Der Release wurde fixiert
Die Smallthing Studios und der neue Publisher ININ Games haben den Release von Simon the Sorcerer Origins fixiert. Das Point and Click-Adventure erscheint somit am 28. Oktober 2025 für PC, Linux und MAC via Steam und nun auch für die Konsolen XBox Series X|S, XBox One, Nintendo Switch, PS4 und PS5. Außerdem ist das Spiel „Steck Deck“-Zertifiziert. Eine spezielle Retail-Fassung kann im offiziellen Store vorbestellt werden.

Prequel zeigt sich im Trailer
Die Smallthing Studios und der Publisher Leonardo Interactive haben Simon the Sorcerer Origins offiziell enthüllt. Die legendäre Point and Click-Adventurereihe feiert also bald ihre Rückkehr. Das Spiel wird ein Prequel und handelt natürlich von unser aller liebstem Zauberer. Das Spiel selbst soll irgendwann in 2024 auf dem PC via Steam erscheinen.
Schauplatz ist die „Magische Welt“: ein Land, das von mächtigen (und meist nutzlosen) Zauberern und absurden Kreaturen bevölkert wird. Durch eine uralte Prophezeiung werden wir aus unserem turbulenten Teenagerleben gerissen und in die magische Welt versetzt.
